The Cold Steel Spartan designed by Andrew Demko is a large, overbuilt folder ready for action! Inspired by the Kopis swords used by the much feared Spartans, the 4.5 inch stonewashed kukri style blade uses Japanese AUS-10A steel and has a hollow ground edge. The large thumb plate on the spine of the blade allows for easy one handed opening and it can be used to catch on your pocket as you pull it out to open it, much like an Emerson wave feature would be used. The injection molded Griv-Ex™ polymer handle fits the hand like a glove with no chance of forward or reverse movement of the hand. Cold Steel’s secure Tri-Ad locking systems ensures that the giant blade is locked into position while open and the carry clip is tip up, right or left handed carry. The Spartan is a ridiculously awesome everyday carry knife for those who occasionally need a machete, and who doesn’t need a machete from time to time?
